Ghanaian Dancehall diva MzVee has shown dislike to comments from the some artistes and the general public that she do not deserve to be nominated in the “Artiste of the Year” category for this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

Many Ghanaians criticized  her ‘Artiste Of The Year’ nomination for this year’s VGMAs when organisers of the awards, Charter House,  announced the full list of nominees.  Wanlov De Kubolo a member of the Fokn boys music group, was one of the many Ghanaians who thinks the Lynx Entertainment  singer did not work enough to get into that most important category.

The songstress believes she did more than enough in the year under review so her nomination for the ultimate award should not surprise people. Speaking to Hitz FM’s MzGee, she listed the good works she did in 2016, which she thinks helped her to gain the nomination.

MzVee stated that she expected her ‘Artiste Of The Year’ nomination so she was not surprised when her name appeared in the category.

“During the festive season, I was on every stage. Before that I had my own concert and even before that, I was doing my high school tour. Before that was BET and before that was Ghana Music Awards. I’ve been taking awards and I’ve been doing many things to make my fans happy.” she listed.

When MzGee asked if the individuals talking against her nomination did not follow her works in 2016, she replied, “that is also another factor.”

Commenting on critics who keep talking against her nomination, the 24 year old said they have their choice so if she is not their favorite, she cannot fault them. MzVee added that conitnued that she has had several messages from other people who are also praying she wins the award.
